My experience in Thailand taught me just how valuable sarongs are.
When I decided to start this business, I wanted to make sure that I sold only quality merchandise.  I knew the quality of sarongs from Thailand and did a lot of research and bought samples form other areas.  I wanted to start Fantasy Sarongs with high quality sarongs that would convert even the most skeptical person into a sarong lover.
I want to start at the beginning.  I was working one night and a friend recommended that we get Thai food for dinner.  I took my leftovers home to my husband.  My husband and I were eating at the restaurant within a few days of him devouring my leftovers.  Next thing I knew, my husband was booking a trip to Thailand so he could eat real authentic Thai food.
I learned the value of a simple bathing suit cover-up while traveling across Thailand.  Sarongs are light weight so I always carried it in my backpack.  I used my sarong as a simple bathing suit cover-up.  However, I also used it as a towel, a sheet and even a blanket.  However, I wore my sarong as a skirt so that I could enter Temples while visiting Chiang Mai.  Then I wrapped my valuables in my sarong for the very long flight home.

The point is that sarongs are very versatile.  I went from a person that did not care much about sarongs, to a person that LOVES sarongs.  I have replaced many of my heavy terry cloth towels with the light smooth feeling sarong.  This may sound crazy but the switch was fantastic.  Sarongs feel great against the skin; they dry quickly and take very little closet room.  I was even told about a girl who uses sarongs as curtains!
